An absolutely breathtaking pair of very heavy solid brass
pinecone finial ornamental decor pieces.
These pieces have some light patina, but are in great vintage condition.
They weigh over 8 lbs each! And measure an impressive 16" high!!
The finial unscrews and each layer of the pinecone can be removed for cleaning and polishing. There are 9 layers in all.
These are wonderful decorative pieces for mantle, entry table, table or dresser top, wherever you want to make a unique and attractive statement.
I have shown images using them as bookends as well,
although not their original purpose, they would be easy to repurpose in this way.
Both pieces in the set have their original manufacturer stickers that are numbered
and read :: Decorative Crafts Inc | Hand Crafted Imports | 3385
There is a partial sticker advising that these are decorative pieces only
and not appropriate for food and the country of origin in India.
Information on the family-owned company ::
Established in 1928.
Decorative Crafts was started by Milton Cohn in 1928,
who began importing ceramics and leather goods from Italy.
In the 1950's, Milton's son Richard took over the business.
He shifted the focus towards Florentine wooden items,
such as small furniture, picture frames, and gifts.
In the 1970's Richard began importing from the Far East.
In the late 1970's Richard's son, Jeff, took over the business
and refined the product selection to only the highest quality furniture
and lighting from China and Italy.
He manages the business today and has recently appointed his son,
Matthew, as Vice President.
