This is an original lacquer Dolnet tenor. It has a deep, rich, vibrant sound and a stable center, slightly more spread.
Lacquer is in good condition. There is a fair amount of spotting but nothing out of the ordinary. Keys are nickel plated. There are no major dents and very little soldering. The bow section has had some minor dent work and one of the high F# posts was resoldered. Sax was recently repadded at another shop with standard leather pads and plastic resonators. Sax has original neck.
This sax has a few extra keys. It has a high F# key, a high Eb trill key and a low Eb trill key. These Dolnet tenors are not that common but are outstanding-blowing saxophones for a great price. This particular Dolnet has all the bells and whistles. A rare find.
This is a great-blowing Dolnet tenor in great condition. Sax comes in standard rectangular case.
