Rheum x hybridum 'Crimson Red' (Rhubarb) is a clump-forming perennial vegetable grown primarily for its edible leaf stalks which are used most often in sauces, jams or pies. 'Crimson Red' produces tall, plump, brightly colored red stalks that are full of flavor. It is reported to be an exceptional variety for the Pacific Northwest.
