Divine Orders offer this phenomenal Complete Set of On Gossamer Wings Collector Plates with Designated Display Shelf Bradford Exchange Porcelain Plates Series of 8 by Artist Lena Liu Sponsored by the Xerces Society. The glorious Complete Set of 8 W. S. George Fine China Plates was distributed by The Bradford Exchange in 1988-1989. The On Gossamer Wings collection was the first collector’s plate series ever sponsored by The Xerces Society. Each porcelain plate depicts artwork conceived and created by Artist Lena Liu. Each plate was produced in an edition strictly limited to 150 firing days. The artistic detail of each plate is breath-taking. These gorgeous plates each measure 8 ½” in diameter. The collection was on display in a room free of direct sunlight. The amazing original Wooden Display Shelf is included with the Plate Collection. It has two plate rail shelves with ample room for all of the plates, which are in excellent condition. The Display Shelf retains the original gold tone metal designation plate “On Gossamer Wings”. All as seen in the detailed zoom-able format photos. The Display Shelf measures 41 ¼” long; 16 ¾" high and 2 ½” deep. The 4 piece shelf will be dismantled for easier shipping. Each plate retains the original paperwork and original box as provided through The Bradford Exchange. A Certificate of Authenticity - signed by William S. George and Artist Lena Liu is included in the original paperwork. Each plate has a Title, Back Stamp Plate Number with Copyright Year and Bradex number, on the backside. There is also a quote about the butterflies specific to the art penned by Artist Lena Liu in script. Depicted on the front of the plate are different flowers and a variety of butterflies. The artist’s signature appears on each plate’s artwork. Each plate is marked "Artistic object. Do not use for eating."
