Founded in 2009 by Kika Vliegenthart and Sabine Spanjer, Kika NY’s stated goal is, “to design high quality leather goods that will last a lifetime – ones with clean, simple lines that eliminate the unnecessary.” In pursuing this goal Vliegenthart and Spanjer have created a line of handmade leather goods that are produced in Brooklyn, NY, using old techniques, handed down by master craftswomen. Kika NY is a line of leather men and woman bags, leather back packs, belts, sandals and accessories that will continue to get more beautiful and interesting with age.
