Situated in the Arts District - right between the Strip and downtown - Thunderbird Hotel Las Vegas offers comfortable accommodations, a restaurant, a bar and more in a boutique atmosphere. The vibe: Artsy and affordable, modern but not stuffy. What we love: One word: location. Thunderbird is located in the heart of the Arts District, between the Las Vegas Strip and downtown's Fremont Street. If you're a hipster, art fanatic or anyone who likes the calmer (but still cool) vibe of Las Vegas, this hotel is for you. If you're familiar with First Friday in Las Vegas, then you already know the Arts District turns into one huge block party filled with thousands of people. And if we want to crash after a night like this, it's a simple hop, skip and a jump back to the hotel. Since the Thunderbird is a boutique hotel, your stay is a bit more cozy compared to an enormously large property. Not that we have a problem with that, but if you're looking for a quick escape from the craziness a boutique-sized hotel is your best bet. The hotel's windows are another bonus. If you're in the mood for fresh air, the windows here open completely. One more thing: There's no resort fees. Let's do our happy dance now and be glad we can use that dough on something else, like the actual Vegas trip. Insider tips: Use this hotel to your advantage and stay during First Friday. We promise it's super awesome. Just make sure to check room availability far in advance. While you're here, make sure to check out all the cool and funky antique and vintage shops in the Arts District. We're pretty confident you'll find a piece or two that nobody else has. Good to know: Even though you're in between the Strip and Fremont Street, the walk to either isn't as close as you think. Even though the Stratosphere Tower is four blocks away (roughly 15 minutes walking distance), it might not be your most comfortable walk, especially in the middle of the summer. Also, if you're heading to Fremont Street Experience it's even farther (more than a mile away, about 25 minutes walking distance). Your best bet? Catch a ride or a cab. Since both locations are a short drive, you won't be paying an arm and a leg. While the hotel itself doesn't have a casino attached, the bar has a set of video slots.

Refinement doesn't mean having less, it means having more of the things you want in a gorgeously designed package. The Palazzo tower is the perfect blend of classic Italian luxury and modern taste that features all-suite accomodations, exquisite restaurants, world-class entertainment and shopping. The suite sizes range from 650 to 720-square-feet that are nearly double the size of the average Las Vegas hotel room. The vibe: Intimate, Italian elegance, exclusive but not intimidating What we love: The Palazzo at The Venetian is kind of like The Venetian on steroids. The hotel takes what you like about The Venetian and makes it even better. It's easier to get around, the rooms are larger and the restaurants are even more upscale. Plus it's like hitting the bonus jackpot on the slot machines when you stay here because it's connected to The Venetian. Anything you don't find at The Palazzo is just steps away at The Venetian, from Canyon Ranch Spa + fitness to dozens more restaurants, gondola rides, the massive Tao nightclub and even more shopping. The hotel’s five-acre pool deck is also merged with The Venetian's, which makes for one big playground. In total, there are 11 different pools, four hot tubs and 41 cabanas. Hotel rooms aren't known for being spacious. You're usually tripping over your suitcases as you squeeze your way into a closet-sized bathroom. Not so at The Palazzo. These standard rooms, which are all suites, are a whopping 720 square feet. That's bigger than your one-bedroom apartment. The bathroom alone is 130 square feet. If you need us, we’ll be soaking in the Roman tub watching TV on the flat-screen. The restaurants at The Palazzo are from the who's who of the culinary world. Take Cut by illustrious chef, Wolfgang Puck. This stylish steakhouse offers cutting-edge interior design and a sophisticated menu of the finest prime beef. There's also the applewood smoked Peking Duck at Mott32 that takes 48 hours to prepare, so we definitely recommend ordering it in advance. The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian | The 875,000-square-foot Grand Canal-themed mall flows from the indoor canal at The Venetian all of the way to the Waterfall Atrium at The Palazzo and presents shopaholics with a lineup of 160 upscale fashion, jewelry and lifestyle stores. Speaking of the Waterfall Atrium, be sure to check out the cascading two-story waterfall with flowers and plants that changes with the seasons. Insider tips: To truly capitalize on The Palazzo at The Venetian's luxury, you'll want to stay in the Prestige Suites - the exclusive concierge level on the 23rd floor. You'll feel like a high roller as you enjoy champagne at check-in, afternoon tea, personal concierge assistance and more. Any time you’re visiting the Palazzo or Venetian, we recommend parking at the Palazzo. The underground garage is easy to get into and is seldom crowded. There are several different elevators leading to the hotel. If you’re checking in, look for the one labeled “lobby.” There’s also an elevator that leads directly to the casino and one that’s close to the showroom. Good to know: The Venetian and The Palazzo at The Venetian are connected to The Venetian Convention Center & Expo, which has 2.25 million square feet of exhibition space. That means when there's a big convention there will also be heavy traffic, crowded restaurants and sold-out shows. You might want to plan your visit during a time when there isn’t a big convention in town. If you are at the hotel during a big convention, just be aware that there will be lines, make your reservations early to avoid waiting in long lines. As we mentioned, the dining options at Palazzo are amazing, but they are also high-end. You won’t find fast food, a buffet or a 24-hour coffee shop here, but you can find quick bites and food court options right next door at The Venetian or in the mall area. It’s the best of both worlds. While the Palazzo has some great bars, if it's the crazy Vegas nightclub experience you're looking for, you’ll need to walk over to Tao at The Venetian.

Located in the center of Las Vegas entertainment District just minutes from the Airport, Las Vegas Strip, All the Major Casino MGM, Caesars Palace, Allegiant stadium, T-Mobile Arena, A's Stadium, UNLV, High Roller, Sphere and the New F-1 Hub. If you could stuff all of Vegas under one roof, MGM Grand is big enough to accommodate that. The vibe: Infinitesimally large, diverse offerings to satisfy every type of visitor, show-rific What we love: You don't have to leave the hotel to experience many of the \bests\ of Vegas. MGM Grand is home to some of the world's top restaurants along with a stable of celebrity chefs. (Anyone heard of Wolfgang Puck, Tom Colicchio and Emeril Lagasse?) Insider tips: The best way to avoid the long taxi line - which can stretch around the porte cochere on a busy night - is to take the Las Vegas Monorail. Good to know: A reality about staying at MGM Grand is that you'll do a lot of walking. You could easily rack up several miles on your Fitbit each day just by going from your room to the pool, restaurants and bars. (For those among us who are more lethargic, this may be the one time you request a room near the elevator bank.) Keep in mind every hotel room is non-smoking. Don't risk it - that's a pricey cleaning fee at checkout. Save yourself the trouble and smoke in designated areas only. What shows and concerts are playing at MGM Grand?: Shows playing at MGM Grand include Kà, Jabbawockeez, David Copperfield, Brad Garrett's Comedy Club and concerts at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Encore exudes Vegas-style prestige housing, elite restaurants and the city's most exclusive lounges. The vibe: The epitome of luxury, modern sophistication, expansive suites, this hotel is worth every penny. What we love: As the name suggests.considering Wynn Las Vegas is its big sister.you can expect the best of the best at Encore. Starting at the suites (you won't find any \standard rooms\ here) are spacious and, well, simply amazing. From the ultra comfy Wynn Dream bed and the TV in the bathroom (so you can watch TV while brushing your teeth) to the automated blinds and lights, everything in these suites is fantastic. The location of Encore is fantastic too. Connected to Wynn, it's not far from the center of the Strip. It's also right across the street from the Fashion Show mall, plus several other must-visit megaresorts are within walking distance. How shall we describe Encore's style? Exquisite. Impeccable. Bold. These are just a few of the words that come to mind. When you see the long Swarovski crystal dragon in Wazuzu or the golden statue of Daphne metamorphosing into a tree in Encore Lobby Bar, you'll probably come up with some of your own.if you're not rendered speechless. Insider tips: Are you a traveling vegan or vegetarian wondering how you'll survive in Vegas? Relax. If you're staying at Encore, you'll be pleased to discover that all of its restaurants (along with those at Wynn) have menu items designed especially for you. Use the self-parking garage at Encore. It's the kind of garage we wish all the hotels in Vegas had. When you drive in, you'll pull onto a ramp where a digital sign informs you of how many unoccupied parking spaces are available on each level. Once you've parked, it's a short walk to the elevator, which takes you to the property's northeast corner, near the pool and heart of the casino. Good to know: OK, when you choose to stay here you know you’re choosing to live on the luxurious side of life. It's not just the suites that look shiny and new. If you're looking for a meal sprinkled with sophistication and fabulousness, you’ve found it. Head over to Wazuzu (say Wazuzu ten times fast and try to tell us we didn’t give you 30 seconds of entertainment) or, If you don’t want to eat alone head over to Espresso, where you can pick up a quick coffee, pastry or sandwich and stuff your face in your room when no one is looking. The Encore Esplanade is home to a handful of unique stores, but if you're big on shopping you should head over to the Wynn Esplanade or Wynn Plaza. It's a bit of a walk but well worth it. There are more stores here and the names on them like Alexander McQueen. If you've come to Encore to go to XS, make sure to queue up immediately in the small rooms adjacent to the nightclub when you arrive. XS is located along the Encore Esplanade, so security guards will shoo you away if you appear to be hanging around with no purpose.because Encore is just not that kind of place. Also as an FYI, no outside food or beverages are allowed in the resort or the casino, even if you're staying in a room. All guests who arrive with these items will be told to throw it away or leave it in their car.

A moderately priced and family-friendly hotel on the Strip, New York-New York features the Big Apple’s most iconic symbols plus a roller coaster and plenty of affordable restaurant options. The vibe: Good value, family-friendly, a faux-urban version of New York. What we love: The Village Street Eateries with all their neon sign splendor. Sure, it may be a glorified food court, but they put some serious effort into modeling it after a brownstone-clad neighborhood in Greenwich Village. Also, you're a hop, skip and a jump away from The Park, located between the hotel and Park MGM. The Park's outdoor promenade features restaurants, trees and shade structures and the 40-foot-tall Bliss Dance statue. Catching a concert? The T-Mobile Arena is also a short walk away. Insider tips: That subway rumbling you feel is actually the Big Apple Coaster barreling above the casino. This can pose a problem if you’re an early-to-bed/early-to-rise kind of person, so make sure to ask for a room that isn’t next to the roller coaster or it could be 12:00 to 11 p.m. before you get some peace and quiet. If you’re a real New Yorker, you won’t even notice the screaming. Good to know: Where do we begin with the parking? While it may seem easily accessible from the freeway, depending on the direction you’re coming from, you may have to go down to the Strip and pass the front of the property before you can even get to the parking garage. Also, all hotel rooms are non-smoking. If you light up, be prepared to pay a cleaning fee for rooms and a cleaning fee for suites upon checkout. Your best bet is to smoke in designated areas, like the hotel's casino or bars.

Sporting magnificent modern architecture and top-tier dining, entertainment, pool and spa options, ARIA stands tall as a hip resort in the heart of the Strip. The vibe: Modern, gleaming and chic. Luxury on all levels What we love: ARIA Las Vegas opened at the end of 2009 and it still has that new car smell. The rooms are a tech lover's dream, featuring the latest gadgetry (keyless locks, personalized automation, etc.). Each room includes an in-room tablet where you'll have one-touch control of lighting, temperature, draperies, music, in-room dining and more. Simply put, you're the master of your domain at ARIA Las Vegas. Open year-round, the pool area at ARIA is like something out of the Garden of Eden. Three ellipse-shaped pools are spread across a palm tree-laden deck. Insider tips: Be an art lover. ARIA's got an impressive fine art collection, and you don't have to pay a museum admission cost to view it. Several pieces dot the property's indoor and outdoor public spaces. So spend the day exploring, it's totally worth it. Spend an afternoon at ARIA's Spa & Salon. There are some seriously unique amenities in here including a Shio salt room (its salt-infused air improves both your breathing and skin) and Ganbanyoku heated stone beds, which are unbelievably soothing to your muscles. Good to know: There isn't a bad room in the house. Since the price point is elevated here, why not just go all out and upgrade to one of the Sky Suites? With the one-bedroom penthouse, not only will you get postcard-worthy views and more flat-screen TVs than you'd find in an electronics store, but you'll enjoy extras like limousine transport from the airport, a personal concierge and access to the private Sky Suites Lounge, where you can indulge in drinks (yes, this includes alcohol) and snacks all day and night long. If you're thinking of smoking in your room at ARIA, don't. At checkout, you might find you've been hit with a $500-$1000 smoking restoration fee. Be aware that most of the resort's rooms (98 percent of them, only a few high roller suites have been exempted) are nonsmoking, so the only places you'll be able to light up are on the casino floor or in various bars. Parking at ARIA seems more confusing than it really is. The only way to access this garage is by turning off the Strip onto Aria Place. Follow the signs (there is no light) as these will indicate where the left turnoff is to a long ramp that goes down into the garage. This feels trickier than it is because you don't actually see the garage they guide you towards. We also just want to add that ARIA is set way back from the Strip. Of course, most Vegas Strip resorts involve a walk to reach Las Vegas Boulevard, but this is one of the longer ones. To get to the Strip, you'll have to go through The Shops at Crystals or walk along a series of shops parallel to City Center Place and take a pedestrian bridge across to The Shops at Crystals. Think of it as your workout to burn off those buffet calories.
The Cosmopolitan is a unique luxury resort, hotel and casino located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Guests enjoy oversized residential-styled living spaces with private terraces and breathtaking views of the Las Vegas skyline. The resorts one of a kind Restaurant Collection features eateries from such world-class chefs as Bruce and Eric Bromberg, José Andrés and Costas Spiliadis, as well as the first Las Vegas locations of trendsetting outlets like Eggslut, Beauty and Essex, Momofuku and Milk Bar. Stylish design and art engage cultural sensibilities while a vibrant nightlife scene captivates perceptions. The Pool District offers panoramic views and unrivaled service, allowing guests to choose between three distinct pool experiences. Combine it all with an eclectic mix of hand-selected boutiques, a 100,000 square-foot casino, The Chelsea concert venue, Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub, and the serenity of Sahra Spa, Salon and Hammam to redefine your luxury resort experience.
The \City of Light\ meets the city of sin at Paris Las Vegas. The centrally-located, Parisian-themed hotel boasts a replica Eiffel Tower, a mock Arc de Triomphe and French restaurants mixed with Las Vegas shows and nightclub. The vibe: Charming, France without the language barrier, faux French architecture What we love: Location, location, location. Paris is centrally located right in the heart of the Strip near Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, which means it's really easy to walk to several other tourist attractions and major hotels nearby. Mon Ami Gabi has been a Las Vegas favorite for years and they pioneered the art of outdoor dining on the Strip. The charming French restaurant serves escargots, steak frites, onion soup and offers a nice wine selection, but the real highlight is the outdoor patio overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard. It's one of the best people-watching spots in town and there's a great view of the Bellagio Fountains across the street. The Eiffel Tower is one of the world's most famous landmarks and while Paris Las Vegas' replica is about half the size of the original, it's still an impressive attraction. Cross Le Pont Alexandre III, step into the beautiful glass elevator, and ride to the top of the tower, which boasts spectacular views of the Fountains of Bellagio, the Strip and the outlying city. Temperamental celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has several restaurants around town, but we think his Gordon Ramsay Steak, a London-themed restaurant at Paris Las Vegas, is the best. The signature dish that everyone raves about is the beef Wellington, but if you don't want anything that extravagant, you can also get Ramsay's famous fish and chips. Insider tips: Paris and the adjacent Bally’s hotel share a parking garage. The two properties are also connected via a walkway filled with shops so you can easily go back and forth between the two hotels and enjoy the amenities of both. Good to know: Paris Las Vegas really tries to give you an authentic Parisian experience, right down to the cobblestone streets. The uneven flooring that mimics cobblestones throughout the shopping area and parts of the casino can be a bit tricky to walk on – especially if you have your clubbing heels on. What shows and concerts are playing at the Paris?: The Paris Las Vegas has no shows available currently but it has plenty of natural ambiance to enjoy. What is there to do at the Paris?: Catch breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip and beyond with a trip to The Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck. What makes the Paris unique?: Standing tall on the Las Vegas skyline is Paris' signature Eiffel Tower replica and hot air balloon.
The epitome of quality, romance and elegance on the Las Vegas Strip, the Bellagio hotel offers luxurious rooms, gourmet restaurants and upscale shopping along with a healthy dose of cultural enlightenment. The vibe: Italian elegance, romantic, classy but not stuffy What we love: The Bellagio Las Vegas has some of the best free attractions in town. There's a reason you've seen the Bellagio Fountain in TV shows, commercials and movies like \Ocean's Eleven.\ They're awesome. Every 15 minutes to half hour (starting around noon), the fountains dance in carefully choreographed patterns to music including everything from Broadway tunes to timeless tracks we all sing along to. People say there's no culture in Las Vegas, but we beg to differ. The Bellagio's Gallery of Fine Art has regularly rotating exhibits of paintings and artifacts. Past exhibits have included the works of Monet, mobiles from Alexander Calder, ceramics from Picasso and Andy Warhol's celebrity portraits. The centerpiece of Bellagio, located just off the main lobby, is the Conservatory. This is one garden you'll be glad you don't have to water. It takes a staff of more than 100 to take care of the thousands of potted flowers, trees and plants that make up the beautiful displays that change five times a year. Insider tips: The Bellagio is all about luxury – and they absolutely deliver. Too much dancing in your heels last night? Save your feet some pain by taking the tram from Bellagio to ARIA, Vdara, Park MGM and The Shops at Crystals. It runs daily from 8 a.m. - 4 a.m; every seven minutes. The Bellagio stop is accessible from a hallway in the Bellagio Spa Tower just past the restaurant, Harvest. The Fountains of Bellagio are one of the resort's main attractions so to take full advantage, be sure to book a fountain view room. There are also several restaurants at Bellagio that have outdoor patios overlooking the fountains including LAGO, Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant and Lounge and PRIME Steakhouse. Good to know: The Bellagio's focus on elegance and luxury means it's not really the most kid-friendly property in town. All rooms, with the exception of the 19th floor, are non-smoking; there will be a $500 - $1000 plus tax deep cleaning fee at checkout for those who smoke in rooms. Your best bet is to just do this in designated areas, like the resort's casino, bars or clubs. Because of the large lake in front of the hotel, the front doors are set back a bit from the Strip. That means you'll have a short walk to get to the Las Vegas Boulevard sidewalk. Don't worry though – as you're walking you can be entertained by the Bellagio fountain. The Bellagio has some of the best fine-dining restaurants on The Strip. Their options include favorites like Julian Serrano's Lago that offers guests delectable Italian food with a front-row seat to the famous fountain show. For something even more spectacular, reserve a table at the Mayfair Supper Club. This unique dining experience creates an atmosphere of sensory delights from their wide variety of unique menu options to a full evening of performances that include singers and dancers. This high-energy lounge takes 'dinner and a show' to a whole new level. All hotel lobbies in Las Vegas are busy but the lobby at Bellagio is at the intersection of some of the most trafficked thoroughfares in Vegas. You have people checking in, people headed toward the conservatory, people walking in from the parking garage, people walking in from the Bellagio Spa Tower elevators. you get the picture. A lot of people are converging on the lobby and the lobby is not large. Throw in tourists looking up and snapping photos of the stunning Fiori di Como glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly that's hanging from the ceiling and you get a lot of people in one area. Our advice, be patient and watch out for luggage, selfie sticks and distracted guests.

Enjoy the reimagined dining offerings like Voodoo Steak, and the new pool oasis with five new pools and whirlpools opening March 2024. The vibe: Offering affordable all-suite accommodations, near (but not too near) the action. Insider tips: Women, indulge your feminine side by going to the lounge in the lobby of the Chippendales Theatre. It has an all-male waitstaff.and be sure to check out the ladies room. We love the circular dressing area with its purple leather couches and softly lit vanity. Dubbed he gossip pit,\ this is the perfect place to debate which Chippendale dancer has the hottest bod. Good to know: This hotel is not located on the Strip. Although you can see the Strip and it appears to be close, we don't recommend walking to it because you'll have to pass over a major interstate while crossing busy on- and off-ramps. What shows and concerts are playing at the Rio?: Shows playing at the Rio include: Penn & Teller, Chippendales, WOW - The Las Vegas Spectacular, and Comedy Cellar. What is there to do at the Rio?: Rio has a rooftop restaurant and VooDoo Steakhouse and lounge with some of the best views in the city. What makes the Rio unique?: Rio's VooDoo Restaurant and Lounge is a three-story venue with unique indoor and outdoor space for views of the Las Vegas Strip, city lights and beyond. Under Construction: A new era is on its way. This Las Vegas icon is getting new rooms, tastes, and looks. All of these upgrades do require some work, so please be aware that some areas of the Rio are currently under construction.

With an ideal location close to all of the action in downtown Las Vegas, Oasis at Gold Spike offers basic, comfortable rooms, a 24-hour restaurant and bar and a round-the-clock fun atmosphere. The vibe: Hip, young, cool and retro. What we love: The folks at Oasis at Gold Spike know how to have fun. There's a main bar that's open 24 hours and the smaller Carnival Bar where you can test your carnival game skills while throwing back a cocktail. Sensing a theme? It continues in the Backyard where you'll find games like oversized Jenga and chess, ping pong and beer pong. The Living Room inside also has pool tables and oversized cornhole. Oasis at Gold Spike has one of the few pools in the downtown area. The hotel's retro-looking pool area located in the hotel's courtyard, features comfortable daybeds and poolside food and cocktail service. Want to enjoy a good book on vacation? The Oasis has a library full of about 100 books on business and entrepreneurship that you can look through or borrow. There's also a vinyl library with more than 100 records from the '70s and '80s. You can browse and play what you want or bring your own vinyl. Insider tips: Dogs are welcome at the Oasis at Gold Spike and if you want your furry friend to have as fun of a vacation as you're having, you can get a discounted rate at the Hydrant Club, an urban dog park near the hotel where your dog can play with other pups. Want to explore the downtown area? Do it on a bike. The hotel rents out some cool tricked out cruisers complete with cup holders and coolers. Good to know: If you're a light sleeper, this may not be the hotel for you. There’s always a lot of action going on at the Gold Spike with a pool, DJs, live entertainment and fun games outside. Since the Oasis was originally designed as a motel, the room doors open onto an exterior corridor that overlooks all that pool action. That means things can stay loud well into the late night hours. Great if you are ready to party on your vacation, but probably not the right fit for you if you're not into the party vibe. The rooms at Oasis at Gold Spike are called \crash pads\ and they really are mainly a place to crash. While they are clean, have comfortable beds, private bathrooms and an urban chic decor, they are not loaded with the amenities that you would find at some of the Strip's megaresorts. The hotel has all of the conveniences you'll need but the rooms don't have things like phones or alarm clocks in them. You can request them from the front desk, but they are not in your room. Also we suggest choosing the Ultimate Crash Pad room. During the Oasis remodel, they combined two rooms to create these ultimate rooms. The Ultimate Crash Pad has a bit of extra space and a cool seating area.
